Abstraction

The vast majority of my work in the pre-Digital Age was in black and white, chiefly because color photography was complicated and expensive.

The advent of the Digital Age opened the world of color to me, a delight I welcome and enjoy.

I still appreciate the abstract qualities of black and white. This practice will continue in the Digital Age as an art form, much like etching.

A musical journey

Scaled back activities during the Covid-19 pandemic has allowed time to visit the archives. Among the treasures discovered was my black and white negatives of musicians, including some of those who performed at Woodstock in 1969.

Students protesting the Vietnam War at The Ohio State University faced Ohio National Guardsmen, Ohio State Patrolmen, Columbus Police and Franklin County sheriff's deputies for several days in the spring of 1970.
