The Artist

A photographer and image maker who has been exploring his craft for more than 50 years, and is still seeking answers.

Born mid 20th century in Cleveland, Ohio.

Formal education: Avon Lake (Ohio) High School, Lorain County (Ohio) Community College, and The Ohio State University. An ongoing informal photographic education including numerous workshops and vast reading on the history of photography and on photographic techniques.

Worked 35 years as a journalist, mostly as a managing editor of small daily community newspapers.

Inspired by Man Ray, Frantisek Drtikold, Salvador Dali, Jerry N Uelsmann, Marcel Duchamp, D.H. Giger, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Brooks Jensen, Norbert R Jaworowski, Alexander B Aitken, and Terri Brewer-Jaworowski, to name a very few.

A subscriber to the philosophy of Brooks Jensen that “photography is more than mere craft. It is, or can be a way of life.”
